Some factors to consider are the number of attendees, whether alcohol is involved, the nature of the event, what assets need protecting, and other considerations in determining what your security guard needs are. As a general rule of thumb, for large events, you’ll need one guard for every 150 guests such as a church event, unless alcohol is involved whereas you’ll need at least one guard for every 75 or so guests such as a large private party.
